Our cycling clothing is designed to reduce its environmental impact, including through the use of recycled polyester and recycled polyamide. But even the most durable clothing is subject to wear: during each wash, friction and movement can gradually weaken textile fibres and release tiny synthetic fibres into wastewater.

To extend the life of your VELOR clothing for as long as possible and reduce the release of microfibres, we recommend using a GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag.

Its particularly smooth surface reduces friction during washing and helps limit fibre breakage. According to tests carried out by the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, an average of 86% fewer fibres break off from 100% synthetic garments when washed with GUPPYFRIEND compared to a regular wash.

The fibres that do break off are captured inside the washing bag and can be removed when they accumulate, instead of flowing directly into wastewater.
